Lev Efimov was born in 1980 in Pskov. He graduated from the Faculty of Psychology of the Pskov State Pedagogical University, but did not work in his specialty for a single day.
He began his creative path with a career as a photographer. Worked with all famous magazines from Vogue to weekly editions. From photography, he smoothly moved into directing, filmed commercials and clips for domestic stars, but quickly realized that he had outgrown the photo and video industry, and it was time to move on.
The sculptor’s workshop is a real mini-production. He used wood in his first sculptures, now he does not limit himself in the choice of materials. Lev Efimov draws images and ideas for his works everywhere —from nature to works of 3D artists.
He creates futuristic abstract sculptures, because in his opinion it is abstractions that really excite the human imagination. During work, the sculptor always imagines how his works will look in the interior or exterior, how they will coexist in space with the person. He likes to work with different forms, does not stop at one thing.
Now most of the acquired works are in the projects of the best designers and architects in Russia, and some of them are also abroad. Also in 2023, the work of the master appeared in Gorky Park in Moscow. Works are also presented in several galleries in Moscow.
When the pandemic began, it was time to think carefully about my future creative path, I realized that I wanted to do sculpture.
