Dmitry Zakunov is a new media photographer who works in chronophotography techniques. It is based on the principle of observing an object, where a certain time interval is shown in a single frame.
Exhibiting his works in various cycles — "Wine Time," "Restaurants and Cafes", "Approaching Dusk", "Psychopathology of Everyday Life", Dmitry turns to psychology, mysticism, and the theme of everyday life through the artistic method of chronophotography, revealing the hidden plasticity of movements of the human body.
Dmitry Zakunov Dmitry Zakunov is a new media photographer who works in chronophotography techniques. It is based on the principle of observing an object, where a certain time interval is shown in a single frame.
Dmitry was born in 1986 , in Nizhny Novgorod. In 2010 he studied photography at the University of New Mexico (USA), inspired by the works of photographers Joel-Peter Witkin and Patrick Nagatani, whose names are closely associated with this university. His work was influenced by the photodynamic photographs of Anton Giulio Bragagli, the works of Alexey Titarenko, Howie Bow, the paintings of Lucian Freud and Francis Bacon.
