The love for arts and crafts and manual labor is inherent in me at the genetic level.
My work is a symbiosis of architectural education and arts and crafts. With the help of the fine art of embroidery, I explore the world of architecture and Russian culture. Stitch by stitch, I transfer my thoughts to fabric like entries in a personal diary, reviving the world of the past - its images, symbols and plots.
My mom and grandmother worked as technology teachers at school, and dad was constantly making amazing things from improvised means, so I embroider all my work by hand, where each stitch is an imperfect trace made by the hand of a person who talks about transfer of knowledge and skills between generations.
